Project: Tristan & Isolde

The collaboration between conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen, director Peter Sellars and video artist Bill Viola of Richard Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde started on the idea of the late Gérard  Mortier. The result named the Tristan Project has been performed all around the world. This new interpretation of the classic work is a visual production that expands beyond the confines of the stage to take over the entire concert hall.
